Caribbean Collaboration/Program

Suzette’s initiative over the next xxx years is to establish a comprehensive platform that empowers Caribbean creatives and entrepreneurs while championing women’s leadership and diversity. Through speaking engagements, mentorship programs, and collaborations, she aims to create opportunities for women of color in the event service industry. Suzette envisions supporting conferences in the Caribbean, offering workshops, panel discussions, and consulting services to amplify her impact and foster a sense of community and inclusivity. Her ultimate goal is to leave a lasting legacy of empowerment and connection across the Caribbean and beyond.

SWS.. my initials… STRENGTH WISDOM SOUL

In dealing with my moms battle with cancer she gave me these words that resonated with me and I’ve taken in as inspiration to live the rest of my life.

Strength ...

I always seem to fall into the path of leadership and empowering others to step up or into something I know they can and will do well. My parents always told me to lead by example... be strong and help those around you to find their inner strength and blessings will be bestowed upon you... and if not it will be passed on to our kids.  I pray that I will continue to find the strength to help others no matter what is going on in my world.

MAKINGHEADLINES

Wisdom …

Take every triumph AND defeat as a lesson to make a better and wiser decision the next time around. While you can’t fix everything –  do what you can to help those around you even if they don’t see it.  Silence sometimes is my strength and my weakness when I can’t fix or change things but I try be mindful of someone else’s hurt and pain beyond the circumstances and respond from that space with empathy.

Soul …

Living life with a daily reminder to be kind in spirit and in actions. To stay emotionally grounded and connected and give of myself when possible to help another. Live life in gratitude with poise and grace.

Maya Angelou (my favorite writer/poet said it best… The thing to do is to prepare yourself so you can be a rainbow in somebody else’s cloud. Somebody who may not look like you. May not call God the same name you call God — if they call God at all,.”I may not dance your dances or speak your language. But be a blessing to somebody.
